Anyone who has gotten their tubes tied?

I know that's the old way of referring to it, but you know what I mean. I'm thinking about having this done. I have 2 boys and I married for life, at least for as long as God allows us to both be alive that is...lol But anyhow, I have problems with all kinds of contraception, so I figured I'd bite the bullet and just do it. My husband has been farting around about getting a vasectomy, and if I wait till he is ready, I'm going to be pregnant again. Both my boys have some learning issues, and they need all my time, It really wouldn't be fair to have another, plus my husband is stressed paying the bills as is. So have you gotten it done, and what are the pluses and minuses of it?
