India - Why puducherry Chief minister meets Sonia Gandhi since he came out of congress on some differences?

Political survival demanded him to meet her.Seems to be better option since Congress has more number than AIADMK.No permanent enemy or friend in politics and that too after proving his capacity to pull m behind him.
