Christians did you know that both the Old and New Covenants are based on the Ten Commandments?

I agree. When did Yahweh ever say to Moses to teach my people to follow my Laws and Commandments only up until my Son is born. Then you don't have to follow them anymore. I thought that the words coming out of Yahweh's mouth to Moses said something like, these Laws and Commandments are to be followed by my people for all future generations to come. Wouldn't that count this future generation that came?
