Desperately need help ysing a poem?

To me it sounds like he's talking about he met a woman he fell in love with a woman and then fell out of love and saying he shall never love again.so basically it's about love and tragedy.And it sounds like they were on a road inside a carriage or walking along the road on a rainy night.And it's definetly set back in the older days.And it seems it is most likely a sad poem.hope this helped some.
