Was he mean to me?

He was mad at me cuz we got into argument. I apologized and he stated he needed time. It's been 4 weeks and he still acts distant but I see him and say hi friendly and he is being friendlier but has a hard time looking at me. Is he even worth it to even say hi to anymore. I'm starting to feel bad like he is a jerk. Should I tell him that we talked about everything under the sun for 3 months and when we both decided to only be friends that I tried to talk to him about some things and he doesn't want me to get emotional. After we decided this he was still my friend but I did get attached and told him I would get over it. I needed to talk to him further but he avoided anything emotional and I got upset. Should I tell him this or cont. to be friendly and say hi when I see him or totally ignore him?
